Thuishuis Blije Bende

Welcome to Thuishuis Blije Bende, our warm and small-scale daycare in the heart of Kimswerd. We are located in the community centre (MFC) at Harlingerweg 26A, easily reached from Harlingen, Pingjum, Achlum and surrounding villages. Everything we do centres on providing a safe home-from-home where children aged 0 to 4 can play, develop and have fun at their own pace. With room for a maximum of eight children, we work in one vertical group: babies, toddlers and preschoolers play and learn together. This set-up gives children the chance to learn from one another and feels cosy and family-like. We believe every child deserves space to grow, so we offer a balanced mix of free play and development-focused activities that follow the children’s interests and needs of the moment. Outdoor play is a big celebration at Blije Bende. Our beautiful outdoor playground borders directly on the playroom, so children can step outside whenever they wish. They love making mud pies in the outdoor kitchen, splashing in sand and water, or simply running and romping around – we regularly turn it into a real “happy mess”! When the little ones tire of all that fresh-air fun, they can nap outside in special outdoor beds – a unique experience that gives them rest and fresh air at the same time. Our space has recently been completely renovated and fitted with new furniture, ensuring a fresh, safe and inviting environment. A dedicated team of caring pedagogical staff is ready every day with passion and joy for your child. Our goal is to offer children a second home where they feel seen and valued.
