Welcome to Kinderopvang Tante Es, a warm and homely daycare located at Piramideplein 3 in Rijswijk. We offer small-scale childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in two vertical groups: the Bloemen and Vlinder groups. Each group accommodates up to 16 children, supported by qualified and consistent pedagogical staff who provide every child with the personal attention they deserve. At Tante Es, we believe that children thrive when they feel safe and valued. Our environment is designed to support each child’s development at their own pace. The vertical group structure allows children of different ages to play and learn together, experiencing themselves in various roles: as the youngest, middle, or oldest in the group. This not only fosters social development but also builds confidence and empathy. Our daily routine offers structure and calm. We begin the day with a shared moment at the table, enjoying a cracker and tea while singing, talking, and sharing stories. This is followed by free play or a guided activity such as arts and crafts, reading, or outdoor play. We go outside every day, weather permitting. Around 11:30 AM, we share a bread meal and drinks, followed by quiet time or a nap for the little ones. In the afternoon, we offer fruit and vegetables, and we close the day together. We place great emphasis on each child’s personal development. Our activities are designed to stimulate fine motor skills, language, social interaction, and creativity. This includes building with blocks, singing songs, reading picture books, crafting with various materials, and helping to bake bread. For babies, we follow the rhythm of home to ensure a smooth transition into daycare. We also value strong parent involvement. Twice a year, we host a 'cozy gathering' for children and parents to strengthen the bond between home and daycare. Communication is open and personal, ensuring parents always know how their child is doing.
