Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Schip à Hoi at Pop Dijkemaweg 72a in Groningen. Since May 1st, 2023, we are located at this new address, where we lovingly care for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our daycare center offers 12 childcare places in a vertical group, where children of different ages play and learn together. We maintain a maximum of three children under one year old, ensuring our youngest receive the extra attention they need. At Schip à Hoi, we believe every child naturally learns and discovers. Our mission is to provide a safe and familiar environment that aligns with home upbringing while creating enriching experiences that contribute to your child's development. In our cozy group setting, playing, eating, sleeping, and discovering are the core activities of each day. Through play, children learn about themselves and others in a playful way, discovering how their behavior affects others and helping them understand their own emotions. Our professional teams consist of qualified pedagogical staff and trainees in training, supported by interns and a permanent substitute. This ensures your child always has familiar faces around them. We work with a clear pedagogical policy based on the uniqueness of each child and their natural need to develop. Our location features comfortable and safe facilities that meet the highest municipal standards. We have separate sleeping areas, play corners, toilets, and kitchens. The indoor spaces are bright, open, and homely furnished with sustainable play materials appropriate for the children's ages. Outside, we have a large play area where children can play and release their energy. We also regularly use nearby playgrounds for additional play opportunities in the fresh air. As a registered VVE (preschool education) location, we provide early childhood education, giving children extra developmental stimulation through play. This seamlessly connects to primary school, giving your child a flying start when beginning primary education.
