Welcome to De Beestenboel Daycare in Rheezerveen, located on the beautiful Integral Child Centre (IKC) at Bouwmansweg 3. We are a public daycare centre fully embedded in IKC Rheezerveen. This means that children from 0 to 4 years not only receive professional care, but also get an early taste of the school environment. Our groups are arranged horizontally: babies (0-2 years) and toddlers (2-4 years) are separated, allowing us to tailor activities, rest periods and care exactly to your child’s stage of development. At De Beestenboel everything revolves around experiencing the outdoors. We have a large, green outdoor space where children discover nature through play: tending flowers and plants, exploring sand and water, observing animals and using natural materials in craft projects. We also regularly organise farm-related activities, such as feeding chickens or picking fruit. When the weather permits, the youngest children nap outside in special outdoor sleeping carriages; the fresh air promotes restful sleep and contributes to a healthy daily rhythm. Our qualified childcare staff closely follow each child and work with fixed daily routines: a cuddle on arrival, a song before nap time, a story before the afternoon rest and a personal diary in which we record exactly how the day went for children up to 1 year old. This way you always know how much your child has drunk, slept and what new discoveries have been made. We use an Early Childhood Education programme linked to the ‘Kind op Maandag’ method. Through play we practise language, numeracy and social skills, so that your child starts primary school with a solid foundation. Care is included in our basic package: nappies, wipes, bottle feeding and warm snacks are provided. If your child has a special diet or allergy, we will gladly adjust the menu in consultation with you. Half-day or flexible care days are also possible.
