Welcome to Kinderopvang Prins Vleermuis Kazerne, our warm daycare centre located at Verbindelaarsweg 140 in Ede. Since June 2011 we have been based on the former Prins Maurits barracks site, surrounded by woods. In August 2018 we moved into a completely renovated building only a stone’s throw from our previous home. Here we care for 60 children aged 0 to 4, divided into one baby group, one toddler group, two VE pre-school groups in the morning and two full-day pre-school groups. Our philosophy is simple: there is no bad weather, only bad clothing. That is why we go outside every day. We walk to the adjacent forest, the Ginkelse Heide or the petting zoo, play in our sandbox and explore nearby playgrounds. Indoors we craft, dress up, sing, dance and read aloud. The Uk & Puk programme underpins our VVE curriculum; Puk, our puppet, guides children playfully in language and social-emotional development. Personal attention is paramount. Our pedagogical team follows the Thomas Gordon Method: respectful communication where every voice counts. Each day we provide personal hand-over to parents so you know exactly how your child’s day unfolded. We are a five-minute walk from Ede-Wageningen station, ten minutes from the A12 and A30 motorways and within walking distance of Ede town centre. Your child is in safe, loving hands with us.
