Welcome to Piccolini Nature, our daycare centre located at Sibergstraat 20 in the heart of The Hague. As part of Kinderopvang Piccolini, we provide loving, sustainable and bilingual childcare for up to 51 children aged 0 to 4. The centre radiates a warm, homely atmosphere and is just a stone’s throw from the city centre. Our approach is rooted in a unique blend of Reggio Emilia and Jenaplan pedagogies. We see children as competent explorers who are naturally curious. We give them space to investigate, play and learn in an environment rich in natural materials and inviting corners. Our 600 m² nature garden is a true paradise: children can play among flowers and plants, help with gardening and learn about animals. Farm animals live on the grounds, creating special encounters and learning moments. Our pedagogical staff – often mothers themselves – are qualified and care for the children with heart and soul. They truly see what each child needs and offer personal attention and guidance. Through an online diary we keep you updated on what your child experiences during the day, so you stay informed about their development and adventures. Health and sustainability are high on our agenda. We serve organic meals and snacks, taking allergies and dietary requirements into account. The groups are horizontally structured: babies and toddlers are separate from the preschool group, allowing us to tailor activities and care to your child’s age and development. At Piccolini Nature your child feels at home. We sing, do arts and crafts, read aloud and spend lots of time outdoors. We believe children develop best when they feel safe and loved. That’s why we say: “Where a child can simply be a child.”
