KDV Panta Rhei

Welcome aboard KDV Panta Rhei, our colourful daycare in the heart of Tilburg at the lively Piushaven quay. We are part of Kinderstad Kinderopvang and offer a warm home base for 80 children aged 0–4. In five family groups – the Sailors, Cabin Boys, Captains, Boatswains and Ship’s Watch – children from 6 weeks to 4 years sail together through their first years of life. Our modern building borders the playground of Panta Rhei primary school and together with the after-school care forms one Children’s Campus. This allows children to move on to school later on familiar ground. The ground floor houses two group rooms, a play hall and an adjoining outdoor space. Upstairs you will find three more group rooms, a second play hall and a safe roof terrace where toddlers can cycle and romp. The green discovery garden around the house invites sand and water play, hiding in the bushes and sliding among the greenery: an oasis of nature in the middle of the city. We work with the Startblokken method. Themes such as seasons, celebrations and emotions are explored playfully in development-oriented corners. Every day we sing, dance and do arts and crafts; during free play, picture books are ready in the reading corner and children can build in the studio corner. Outdoors there is plenty of space too: the youngest enjoy the fresh air, toddlers balance on stepping stones and pre-schoolers climb and slide among the greenery. Warm care, structure and continuity are central. Our pedagogical staff give each child individual attention, provide rest, cleanliness and regularity and stimulate language, motor and social-emotional development. This is how our children grow into independent, happy explorers who will face the world with confidence.
