Kinderopvang Meerdijk

Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Meerdijk, located at Bislett 7 in the heart of Emmen. Since opening in August 2010, our Meerdijk location has provided loving and professional childcare for children aged 0 to 4. Our daycare groups are divided into horizontal age groups: the Dribbels and Sprinters (0-3 years) and the Jumpers and Spetters (2-5 years). Each group has a maximum of 16 children and is guided by a consistent team of 3 to 4 pedagogical staff members with child-focused education at MBO or HBO level. Discovery, exploration and experimentation are central to our approach. We give children all the space they need to develop through play. Outdoor play is one of our key pillars: we have a very large green outdoor area where we spend as much time as possible – even when it’s drizzling. Additionally, we provide pre-school education (VE) to give children aged 2.5-4 extra stimulation in language, math and social skills. We believe it’s important that every child feels safe and secure. That’s why we work with consistent caregivers, a dedicated mentor for each child, and individual bedding and sleeping bags that are washed weekly.
