Welcome to Kinderopvang Liefjes Valkenboslaan, a warm and small-scale daycare centre in the heart of the lively Segbroek district in The Hague. Our homely building at Valkenboslaan 286 is surrounded by family houses, creating a calm and familiar atmosphere that feels like a second home. We provide loving day care for children aged 0 to 4 in one vertical group, where babies and toddlers play, discover and grow together. At Liefjes Valkenboslaan we value small-scale care. Thanks to our limited group size our qualified staff can give every child the attention they deserve. We work in a vertical group, which means children of different ages share the same space. This set-up encourages social development: the youngest observe the older toddlers, while the toddlers learn to take the babies into account. They learn from and with each other every day. Our location has its own secure outdoor play area where children can run, climb and scramble to their heart’s content. The garden is designed for the youngest age group: there is room for sand, water and natural materials, allowing children to explore the world around them through play. Indoors everything is tailored to the needs of the very young: quiet corners for naps, a toddler zone for building and playing, and a cosy home corner where imaginative play is central. We are open five days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Parents can rely on us for regular day care, while we flexibly meet the individual needs of each child.
