Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf LIEF, located at Ganker 5 in the heart of Nibbixwoud. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in three vertical family-style groups: the Goudstaafjes, the Diamantjes and the Boefjes. Each group has a maximum of 12 children and is open all year round from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Our focus is on creating a familiar, safe and stimulating environment where every child can grow at their own pace. We follow a consistent daily rhythm, clear group rules and recognisable rituals. This structure gives children the security of knowing what to expect each day. Transition moments are guided with songs and actions, ensuring a smooth flow throughout the day. Our pedagogical staff intentionally use the group as a living and learning environment. Children discover who they are, practise social skills such as “taking turns” and “sharing”, and learn to stand up for themselves. Each child has a fixed spot and a basket of personal belongings, helping them feel at home quickly. Creativity and independence are central. We craft, build and sing together. Toddlers choose their own activity using a choice board with photo keyrings, learning to make decisions and focus. We also encourage independence by letting children do as much as possible themselves: washing hands, putting on a coat, tidying up and solving small “problems” on their own. This builds self-confidence and gradually prepares them for primary school. In short, at Kinderdagverblijf LIEF children find a warm second home where they can play, discover and develop with love, attention and joy.
