Kinderopvang Koek en Ei

Welcome to Kinderopvang Koek en Ei, located at Prins Hendrikstraat 98 in the heart of The Hague. We are a small-scale daycare centre where a maximum of 15 children at a time find a safe second home. Our vertical group (0-4 years) works and plays together in one homely space, allowing the youngest to watch the toddlers and the toddlers to proudly help with the babies. Everything we do revolves around sustainability and respect. We consciously choose organic food, reusable nappies whenever possible and natural materials. Every morning we head out with the children: we walk to the park, feed the ducks or collect leaves and stones for our creative corner. Back in the group we sing together, craft with our found treasures and read aloud from our well-stocked bookcase. Language develops naturally through play, exactly as it should at this age. Our pedagogical staff follow your child’s rhythm. Does your baby need a bottle right now? We take all the time needed. Does your toddler want to try scooping by themselves? We are ready to guide. Saying goodbye follows a fixed ritual: a big hug, waving together at the window and then quickly back to exploring. This way children grow in confidence and independence with us, ready for the next step.
