Kinderopvang Kiekeboe - KDV Vlindertuin

Welcome to Kinderopvang Kiekeboe – KDV Vlindertuin, a cosy and homely daycare centre located at J.G. Suurhoffstraat 45 in the heart of Almere. We are part of the small-scale Kinderopvang Kiekeboe network, which operates nine locations across Almere Stad and Almere Buiten. Our Vlindertuin site accommodates up to 27 children aged 0 to 4 and is within walking distance of Almere Centrum, making drop-off and pick-up easy for parents. Everything we do revolves around creating a safe, familiar environment where both children and parents feel at home right away. Our groups are intentionally small, ensuring every practitioner knows every child personally and parents recognise every face. The rooms are cheerful, warm and homely, and meet all hygiene and safety requirements. We use a horizontal group structure, so children play and develop within age-specific groups. Our pedagogical policy is based on the VVE Piramide programme, which focuses on language development and helps identify and reduce any language delays at an early stage. We also apply the Gordon method: we do not believe in punishment, but in open communication and solving conflicts together. This teaches children to feel understood and to understand why certain behaviours are not allowed. Our committed and permanent practitioners closely follow each child’s development. Through observations and parent meetings we keep parents informed of every step their child takes. We are proud that our staff regularly attend additional training and courses to maintain the high quality of our care. In short, at KDV Vlindertuin we offer a safe, small-scale place where children aged 0 to 4 can develop at their own pace, while parents can pursue their daily activities with peace of mind.
