Welcome to Kinderopvang Joepie de Poepie, located at Stationsplein 20 in the heart of Hulst. We are a warm, small-scale childcare centre where children aged 0 to 4 feel completely at home. Everything we do revolves around the unique character of each child; we believe every child should be free to be themselves and develop at their own pace. Our day-care centre has room for up to 48 children and follows a vertical group structure. This allows babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers to play and learn together in a homely, secure environment. We like to call ourselves ‘one big family’, where personal attention and short lines of communication with parents are paramount. Our pedagogical professionals carefully observe each child so we can respond to his or her needs and interests. We provide pre-school education (VE), preparing your child for primary school through play. Creative development is given plenty of space in our studio, where children can freely paint, craft and explore. There is also ample opportunity to play outside in our own garden; in this way the children learn about nature through play and can enjoy plenty of exercise in the fresh air. Trust, calm and regularity are very important to us. We work with familiar faces in each group, so your child always sees the same trusted carer. We also take care of all practical matters appropriate to the age: bottle feeding, nappy changing and a quiet sleeping area where your child can rest when needed.
