Welcome to the toddler group of Childcare Ithaka, location De Toermalijn. We are located on the ground floor of Vrije School De Toermalijn at Abellalaan 74 in Hillegom. Our toddler group is specially designed for children aged 2 to 4 years and operates according to anthroposophical principles. We put the child at the center with their own developmental pace. We provide a safe, homely environment where toddlers can play, discover and grow. Our experienced pedagogical staff create a warm atmosphere in which every child has the space to be themselves and develop in their own way. Our daily routine follows a fixed rhythm with free play time, creative activities such as painting and crafting, singing and making music, and reading stories. We pay a lot of attention to imaginative play and developing the senses. Outdoor play happens daily on our safe, green schoolyard where children can romp in the fresh air. We work with organic products for the fruit and drinks we offer. The transition from home to the toddler group happens gradually and in consultation with parents. We find it important that children feel at home with us and that parents can leave their child with us with full confidence.
