"In de Wolken" Daycare is located on the ground floor of the monumental De Hoef farm, right in the heart of the new Leidsche Rijn district. We provide small-scale day care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 in a homely, peaceful setting. Our team of specialised pedagogical staff and art teachers follow the Reggio Emilia approach: we see children as powerful, curious and creative beings who are given space to discover their own identity. We place the child’s world of experience at the centre. We offer a rich, challenging play environment in which toddlers and babies can paint, craft, sing and dance in our bright studio. The large green garden surrounding the farm invites running, digging, den-building and exploring nature. Every day starts cosily together at the table with fresh fruit and drinks; bread meals are provided. We work in horizontal groups: babies, toddlers and preschoolers each have their own safe place, tailored to their stage of development. There is plenty of room for rest and routine: a separate bedroom with cots and cradles ensures pleasant naps. Parents can choose half or full days of care. We communicate personally and keep parents informed of the day through a parent portal. "In de Wolken" Daycare is part of KunstNest, an organisation that has been providing small-scale, creative childcare in Utrecht for over ten years. Our mission is to give children a warm home where they feel safe, secure and inspired.
