Kinderopvang iKids

Welcome to Kinderopvang iKids, located at Mgr Nolenslaan 57 in Schiedam. We are a small-scale daycare centre offering a safe and homely environment for up to 26 children aged 0 to 4. Our mission is to give every child the space to grow and develop at their own pace, with plenty of attention to trust, calm and security. At iKids, healthy development is central. This takes place in a safe environment, carefully shaped by our qualified pedagogical staff. We foster a pedagogical climate that supports both group education and individual development. Our daily rhythm is predictable, with fixed moments for eating, drinking, sleeping and playing, tailored to the age and rhythm of each child. Our day begins calmly between 07:00 and 09:30 as children are dropped off. After a shared breakfast we sit together for an activity such as puzzles or reading aloud. Around 10:00 we go outside or start an indoor activity. In fine weather the children play outside twice a day. Lunch is served around 12:00 with a warm meal, after which the children rest in a quiet sleeping area. Sleeping children are monitored via camera. Children who do not nap engage in quiet play or outdoor activities. At the end of the afternoon there is a healthy snack and free play or a final activity until pick-up between 18:00 and 18:30. We work with horizontal groups, separating babies and toddlers into age-specific groups. For babies we follow the individual rhythm indicated by parents as closely as possible. Feeding, sleeping and play are adjusted accordingly. As children grow older they increasingly play together and a natural group dynamic emerges. Our location is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 335868356 and is supervised by the GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond. We are part of Kinderopvang iKids B.V., based in Vlaardingen.
