Kinderopvang Handj in Handj

Welcome to Kinderopvang Handj in Handj, a warm, small-scale childcare centre located at Sint Catharinaplantsoen 2 in Grevenbicht. We are part of Kindcentrum de Kingbeek, with which we work closely to provide children aged 0–4 with a safe and homely environment. Our setting consists of one vertical group of up to twelve children, ensuring every child receives the personal attention they deserve. We are Marjolein Vola and Kim Francot-Murkens, both mothers and the driving force behind Handj in Handj. With over twenty years of experience in childcare and the right qualifications – Kim studied Social Pedagogical Care and Marjolein Social Pedagogical Work – we understand exactly what young children need. Since September 2016 we have been putting our own vision into practice: a place where children feel safe and seen, with room for both rest and development. Our space is cosy and homely, with a separate sleeping area where children can rest whenever they need. We work in one group, allowing babies and toddlers to play and learn together. This vertical group structure encourages social development and gives older children the chance to help the younger ones. We offer flexible care that follows your child’s and family’s rhythm. Half-day care is possible, so you stay flexible in your childcare needs. At Handj in Handj we believe children should be allowed to be who they are. We provide a familiar place where they can play, explore and grow. Because of our small scale we know every parent and child personally, creating a close community and open communication. Together with you we guide your child towards a bright future, step by step.
