Welcome to Partou daycare De Grote Beer located at Meerhof 33 in Leiden! Our small-scale daycare is situated in the Haagweg-Zuid neighborhood, opposite primary schools Leimundo and de Ley. The high windows in our group spaces create a wonderfully bright and homely atmosphere. Everything we do revolves around learning through play. We provide pre- and early childhood education (VVE) through the Uk and Puk program, preparing children for primary school in a playful way. Our pedagogical professionals work with six building blocks that help children grow in resilience and self-confidence. A speech therapist pays extra attention to your child's speech and language development. Our spacious outdoor area is a true playground paradise. Children can romp on our large playground, discover in the vegetable garden, or play in the playground next to our building. For the littlest ones, there's a cozy baby garden to quietly discover the world. We go outside every day because outdoor play is good for motor development. A day with us looks like this: we start calmly with reading a book, then go outside for fresh air, play with fun themes from our VVE program, eat healthy and freshly prepared meals, and make music together. Through our Partou parent app, we keep you updated on all your child's milestones and happy moments. We work with vertical groups where children aged 0-4 play and learn together. This stimulates social development and older children learn from younger ones and vice versa. Our language of communication is Dutch and we work closely with speech therapy, CJG and schools in the neighborhood for an optimal continuous developmental line.
