Welcome to Kinderopvang Eiland Marlyne B.V. at Voordijk 237 in Barendrecht, our very first and now iconic main location. In early 2002 an existing house with old barn on Voordijk was converted into a homely daycare centre, and on 1 February 2002 Eiland Marlyne B.V. became a reality. Ever since we have provided daycare here for up to 48 children aged 0 to 4 years, divided into three groups: a baby group (0-2 years), a toddler group (2-4 years) and a mixed-age group (0-4 years). Each group is guided by at least two qualified pedagogical staff, always in line with the requirements of the Dutch Childcare Act. We are open 52 weeks a year, from 07:00 to 19:00. Our generous opening hours give parents the flexibility they need. Our pedagogical approach starts from the child of today: every child develops in their own way and at their own pace. We believe in development at the moment a child is ready. Therefore we offer a safe, familiar environment in which children can play, discover and grow. A healthy mind in a healthy body is central. We therefore provide a mainly organic food policy; breakfast, warm lunch and healthy snacks are included. Diapers and care products are also ‘all-in’ with us: no hidden extras, just transparency and convenience for parents. The site has its own garden/green playground where children can go outside every day. Kinderopvang Eiland Marlyne B.V. is a childcare organisation in Barendrecht with a total of seven locations.
