Welcome to De Wielenweide, an agricultural daycare located at Rijksstraatweg 9A in Ryptsjerk. We provide childcare for up to 37 children aged 0 to 4 years in a warm, safe and inspiring environment where children can simply be children. Our location features a large and adventurous outdoor area with 1,500 m² of play meadow, connected to the surrounding nature reserve by a unique bridge. Every day, children play outside, help in the vegetable garden and take care of animals. Activities include planting and caring for lettuce, tomatoes and courgettes, collecting eggs, cleaning pens, cuddling rabbits and guinea pigs, and feeding our pot-bellied pigs Lotje and Dundey. Inside we have spacious and homely areas where children feel safe and secure. We work with both horizontal and vertical groups, with children per caregiver ranging from 4 to 6 depending on age. There is always a permanent leader for each group. We are open all year round from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, except on official holidays. Starting earlier or picking up later is always negotiable. Our dedicated and enthusiastic team ensures that every child receives the attention they deserve. We believe in learning through play, discovery and having fun. No computers or screens here, just pure attention to nature, animals and each other.
