De Vrolijke Mol

Welcome to De Vrolijke Mol, a small-scale daycare centre for children aged 0–4 in the ’s Gravenland district of Capelle aan den IJssel. Since 1 September 2014 we have opened our doors every weekday from 07:00 to 18:00 for up to 16 children. We offer trust, warmth and a homely atmosphere where every child is free to be themselves. Outdoor play is very important to us. Our spacious and inviting garden gives children plenty of room to explore, move and play in a natural environment that extends the indoor group space. Our small size guarantees calm and overview, allowing us to give each child the personal attention they deserve. We work from a clear pedagogical policy plan that parents can download from our website. Before care starts we schedule an intake interview to discuss your child’s daily routine and needs, followed by a careful settling-in programme: first together with parents, then independently, so your child can get used to us at their own pace. Hygiene and safety are paramount. Shoe covers are required when entering, and all staff hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). We are affiliated with the Disputes Committee for Childcare and have an active parent committee that advises on policy, safety and quality.
