Welcome to Kinderopvang De Vlindertuin B.V. at Utrechtseweg 232 in Amersfoort. We are a small-scale daycare centre where children from 8 weeks to 4 years grow up in a safe, homely environment. Thanks to our modest size we know every parent and every child personally; short lines and quick consultation are second nature to us. We work with two horizontal core groups: the Caterpillars (10 weeks – 2 years, max. 8 children) and the Butterflies (2 – 4 years, max. 14-16 children). Each group has its own qualified, permanent pedagogical staff who guide your child professionally. Our Caterpillars nap peacefully in two separate bedrooms; the very youngest can even sleep outside in a special outdoor cot, because fresh air promotes deep, restorative sleep. The Butterflies have no separate sleeping room; children who still need an afternoon nap receive all the rest and attention they need. Our activities are varied and age-appropriate: colouring, painting, singing songs, reading aloud, baking cookies and, of course, lots of outdoor play. Every other week children from about two years old enjoy a yoga class. We love to take the children for walks in our own grounds with push-carts and to play in the large green garden with sandpit, climbing hill, slide and outdoor water pump. In summer the children snack on our own raspberries, strawberries and berries. In spring it is lamb-time: together with the staff the children feed and care for the lambs. Chickens, rabbits and birds complete our little farm. We use the VVE programme ‘KIKI Opportunities for Children’. Kiki the bear stays overnight with all the children; parents read along in a notebook about the adventures and receive digital parent supplements. In this way we work together on language development and school readiness. Every day we inform you through our parent app about how your child played, ate and slept. Care is child-centred: we follow home routines, change and feed at familiar times and adapt food, sleep and rituals to your wishes. You may bring your own food and drinks; we take allergies and dietary requirements into account. All baby necessities such as nappies, wipes and care products are provided.
