Welcome to Smallsteps De Vlinder, our daycare center located on the beautiful University of Twente campus in Enschede. Here, at Calslaan 35 in building 60, we provide childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a unique green environment. Surrounded by forests, away from the hustle and bustle, we create a safe and trusted place where children can grow and discover. At De Vlinder, we believe in the power of nature. Our children learn something new about the world around them every day. They feed our chickens, care for the rabbits, and make adventurous discoveries in the forest. These direct experiences with animals and nature not only stimulate their curiosity but also their respect for nature and all its inhabitants. Our pedagogical staff provide care with love and attention. For the youngest, this means peaceful care, bottle feeding according to their home routine, and gentle rocking in our quiet sleeping areas. Toddlers and preschoolers get more space to discover on their own. They play in our new garden, go on outings with wagons, and learn playfully about seasons, plants, and animals. We work with horizontal groups, where babies and toddlers are cared for in separate age groups. This ensures peace and safety while making the transition to the preschool group seamless with primary education. Our preschool group prepares children for the next step in their development. Through our own app, you as a parent can follow along with your child's milestones and beautiful moments. We share photos and stories so you stay involved in your child's development. Together with you, we form a team around your child. Our childcare is open daily from 07:30 to 18:30. We offer flexible childcare days and times, tailored to your needs. Our prices include fruit, lunch, drinks, snacks, diapers, and wipes. For children with specific dietary requirements, we gladly prepare suitable meals.
