Welcome to Kinderopvang de Knuffelbeer – Tolhuisweg, a warm and homely daycare centre in the heart of Heerenveen. Since 17 October 2019 we have been providing care for up to 38 children aged 0–4 at our location on Tolhuisweg 12. As part of the Knuffelbeer organisation, led by owner and experienced pedagogical worker Miranda Wuring, we stand for small-scale care, personal attention and a safe, loving environment in which every child can develop optimally. Everything we do revolves around learning through play. We offer a varied programme that includes daily singing, dancing, crafts and story time. We work with themes and seasons so that children discover the world around them in a playful way. Outdoor play is an important part of our daily routine; we have our own garden where children can run, play and experience nature safely. For the very youngest there is a separate bedroom where rest and regularity are paramount. Pre-school education (VE) is standard with us. We prepare children for primary school through educational activities that match their development. We see every child as a unique individual and tailor our guidance to what that child needs. Healthy nutrition is important to us: children receive fresh fruit and drinks, and we involve them at mealtimes to let them experience different tastes. Open and honest contact with parents is essential to us. From the very first introductory meeting we look for a connection and make clear agreements so that we can form a single line in upbringing.
