Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kinderopvang De Boerderij B.V., located at Enghlaan 6A in Utrecht. For more than 25 years our family-run centre has provided small-scale childcare in a charming converted farmhouse on the edge of the city, surrounded by greenery. Children aged 4 to 12 find a familiar place after school where they decide for themselves what they want to do. We operate three age-based BSO groups. This horizontal structure ensures that activities and guidance match the children’s stage of development. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready every afternoon to support self-initiated projects, outdoor play or simply unwinding after a busy school day. Inspired by Pikler, Reggio Emilia and nature education, we spend as much time outside as possible, encourage independence and use positive reinforcement. The Boerderij offers a large outdoor area where children can play freely, build dens, explore the vegetable garden or enjoy the changing seasons. Because we keep groups small, every child knows every staff member and vice versa, creating a calm and secure atmosphere.
