Welcome to Kinderopvang ‘De Boerderij’, a small-scale, sustainable and professional childcare centre located on a real dairy farm on the edge of Geesteren village. Since 7 January 2002 we have provided a safe and familiar place for children from 10 weeks to 4 years to play, grow and discover. Our site at Bragersweg 9 is purpose-built for up to 60 children and operates horizontal groups: two baby groups and three toddler groups. We also offer two toddler groups for half-day care. As a family business we stand for personal attention, security and rhythm. My husband, farmer Harry as the children call him, runs the farm and supports us wherever needed. Every day the children experience farm life first-hand: feeding the chickens, cuddling the rabbits and playing in our enclosed outdoor area and chicken meadow. Nature is our greatest playground. We run an officially certified Early Childhood Education programme and follow a pedagogical vision inspired by Pikler, Reggio Emilia and nature experience. Our qualified staff approach every child in a positive, individual and respectful way, giving them literally and figuratively the space to be themselves. We offer day care Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm. All necessities such as nappies, wipes, formula, warm meals and snacks are included. We take allergies and special dietary requirements into account. Feel free to visit for a tour and experience the warm, homely atmosphere in which your child can grow up.
