Kinderopvang Bosrijk at Meeuwenlaan 140A in Amsterdam-Noord is a small-scale daycare centre for children aged 0 to 4. Located right next to the Vliegenbos park, nature is literally at our doorstep. Outdoor play is central to our approach: we go outside every single day – rain or shine – and make full use of the playground, the forest and even the nearby petting zoo. Outdoor play is not an extra; it is our standard. Our groups are small, ranging from 10 to 16 children, allowing us to provide calm, overview and personal attention. We work exclusively with a permanent team of dedicated pedagogical staff who truly see every child. There are no flexible workers or freelancers; when someone is ill or on holiday, a familiar colleague from our own team steps in. This creates a safe, homely environment in which children can develop at their own pace. We only offer full-day care, without the option to pause or book by the hour. This ensures calm, structure and a predictable daily rhythm. Parents can register their unborn child in advance, and we maintain a waiting list of 12 to 16 months. Siblings are given priority when a place becomes available. Our approach is simple yet thoughtful: we believe in the power of nature as a learning environment. Children feel, smell, taste and discover how the world works through play. We spark their curiosity with nature-oriented activities, both indoors and outdoors. In this way, they not only grow in their development but also in their connection to the world around them.
