Kinderopvang Boes

Kinderopvang Boes is located in the charming dike village of Kommerzijl, at Kerkstraat 12. Our setting provides small-scale daycare for up to eight children aged 0 to 4. We work in a warm, vertical group where babies, toddlers and preschoolers play and learn together. Outdoor living is at the heart of everything we do: whenever the weather allows, we eat, drink and nap outside. Babies sleep in the ‘Lutje Potje’ or in their pram, safely enjoying the fresh air. Our large, adventurous garden is a world of discovery: a lawn to run on, flower and vegetable beds to tend, a mud kitchen corner, swings and a play-and-climb house with slide. We provide special outdoor clothing—overalls and body-warmers—so every child stays warm and dry while playing outside. When the sun shines, we often explore barefoot. For the very youngest we have two permanent staff members trained as baby specialists. They offer calm, routine and plenty of personal attention. We align care with home routines so each child enjoys a familiar start. From the age of two, children can join our play-and-learn group, where we work playfully on language, motor skills and social development. We use Early Childhood Education (ECE) programmes to prepare children for primary school. Weekly outings include fetching bread from the baker, picking fruit at the local orchard, a stroll through the nearby NAM park or story time at the library. In spring we visit lambs, in autumn we ride the apple train through the orchard. During holidays we organise extra trips to the forest, city park or other fun destinations. Kinderopvang Boes is open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. School pick-up and drop-off can be arranged by agreement. We value close communication with parents: there is always time for a personal chat at pick-up and drop-off to share the day’s adventures.
