Welcome to Partou Bockesprong! Our after-school care is located at Theophile de Bockstraat 100 in Amsterdam West, in the same building as primary schools Nautilus and Notenkraker. As soon as the school bell rings our qualified staff pick up the children – easily recognisable in safety vests – and bring them to our bright, spacious BSO rooms. Children have plenty of space to move, discover and play together. A challenging playground is just around the corner and the school yard offers football and basketball facilities. Every week we organise a varied programme. Street-dance, judo and capoeira are taught in club sessions by experienced instructors. In our professional kitchen children learn to cook and bake; from making pizzas to preparing healthy smoothies. Woodwork, painting or creative crafts: we tailor the activities to the children’s own interests. Child participation is one of our core values. We ask the children what they would like to do, involve them in setting rules and give them real input. This teaches them to make choices and take responsibility. Each day ends with a shared, warm and nutritious meal.
