De Hommeltjes

Welcome to De Hommeltjes, our cozy daycare centre located at Epelenberg 4 in Breda East. We are part of Kinderopvang Bloem Breda and offer small-scale, homely childcare for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. At De Hommeltjes, we work with vertical groups, where babies, toddlers and preschoolers play and learn together. This creates a warm and friendly atmosphere in which the youngest children feel safe and the older ones learn to be caring. Our qualified childcare staff are ready every day to give your child a safe and stimulating day. We regularly go on outings to the neighbourhood, the petting zoo or the forest – always tailored to the age and interests of the children. For these trips we use our cargo bike, pushcart or the ‘Bloembus’. This way, children discover the world around them in a playful and safe manner. Sustainability and a personal approach are central to our philosophy. We consciously choose organic and healthy food, sustainable materials and carefully selected toys. We also take time for you as a parent: at drop-off and pick-up we are open for a chat, so we can align our care as closely as possible with your parenting style and wishes.
