BijdeHandjes - Het Octaaf

Welcome to Daycare BijdeHandjes at Weitakkerstraat 2 in Elburg, a loving place where children aged 0 to 4 find a warm second home. Our new daycare centre offers space for up to 46 childcare places and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 4 April 2012. The group room is spacious and bright, with cosy and snug play corners for every age, ensuring each child feels safe and secure. At BijdeHandjes we work from a Christian identity, with the love of God at the centre. We read from picture books and from the children’s Bible, say grace before meals and sing Christian songs. All children are welcome, regardless of whether they receive a Christian upbringing at home. Our pedagogical staff offer genuine attention and guide each child step by step in his or her development. We greatly value close cooperation with parents. Together with your child you become part of the BijdeHandjes family. We are happy to think along with you about what your child needs and offer a helping hand wherever possible. Our approach is based on the latest pedagogical insights and focuses on recognising and developing each child’s unique talents. For the very youngest we provide all necessary care: from bottle feeding to nappy changes, from quiet moments in our cosy sleeping areas to exploring in the secure garden. Toddlers also find a challenging environment here with age-appropriate activities that match their stage of development. We work with horizontal groups, where children come together in age groups. This provides calm and familiarity, and makes it possible to respond specifically to the needs of each age.
