BijdeHandjes - Berglaan

Welcome to BijdeHandjes Childcare at Van den Berglaan 79 in Voorthuizen. Located in the Bethabara church, we provide warm, Christian childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our small-scale location accommodates a maximum of 16 children, allowing us to give personal attention to each child. We create a safe and homely atmosphere where children can develop at their own pace. Our daily routine is tailored to the age and needs of the children. The day begins with drop-off between 7:00 and 9:00 AM. For the youngest ones, we provide breakfast, bottles and snacks. At 9:45 AM there's fruit and drinks, followed by free play or group activities such as crafts, reading or singing. At 11:30 AM we eat sandwiches together, then it's time for afternoon nap. Children who stay for nap go to bed between 1:00 and 3:00 PM. Afterwards there's drinks with biscuits and free play until parents pick up their children between 4:00 and 7:00 PM. For children staying longer, we serve fresh cooked vegetables at 4:30 PM and a warm dinner at 5:30 PM. Our pedagogical staff work according to the Christian identity of BijdeHandjes. We read from picture books and the children's Bible, sing Christian songs and pray together before meals. At the same time, we are open to all families regardless of their religious background. We believe it's important for children to learn to interact with others and with norms and values. Therefore we encourage group play, help children resolve conflicts and teach them to consider others. For children's development, we provide preschool education (VVE). We use the KIJK! method to track each child's development. Twice a year we invite parents for development discussions. Additionally, we work with themes that connect to children's experiences, such as seasons, animals, traffic and emotions. We regularly make trips to the library, petting zoo or forest. We also have a beautiful outdoor space where children can play and discover. Everything your child needs is included: diapers, wipes, baby food, fruit, drinks and warm meals. We accommodate allergies and dietary requirements. Our location has its own sleeping area, various play corners and a safe playground. We work with an access control system so only familiar faces can enter. Together with you as parents, we form a close team around your child.
