Welcome to Smallsteps Daycare 'de Beestenboel' at Polaris 36 in Hellevoetsluis. Our daycare center is located in a spacious building near a recreational lake, where we provide a warm second home for children aged 0 to 4 years, every weekday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We work with four vertical groups: 0-1 years, 1-2 years, 2-3 years and 3-4 years. These groups consist of children of different ages who stay together in the same group with the same pedagogical staff throughout their entire daycare period, creating strong bonds. Siblings can be together in one group. This age mix stimulates language development and social skills in all children. Our pedagogical staff offer a rich variety of activities that match each child's developmental stage. We sing together, do arts and crafts, read stories and regularly go on discovery trips in the nature surrounding our location. The large garden and nearby recreational lake provide plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and nature experiences. For the youngest ones, we provide diapers, wipes and bottle feeding. Older children receive healthy meals, fresh fruit and snacks. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account. Each child has their own sleeping place in our quiet bedrooms, where they can rest after an active morning. Through our parent app, we keep you informed about your child's day with photos and messages. We follow the VVE program (Early Childhood Education) which prepares children for primary school through play.
