Kinderopvang Aurora (KDV)

Kinderopvang Aurora is located at Floris Versterstraat 2 in Leeuwarden, on the grounds of primary school Het Palet. Our day-care centre provides care for up to 28 children aged 0 to 4. We work from the core values of Rest, Cleanliness and Regularity, with playful learning and emotional safety at the heart of everything we do. Each day begins with a warm welcome and a predictable structure that gives young children calm and confidence. We sing, make music, do themed crafts and go outside at least once a day to move and play. Our pedagogical staff are specially trained in interaction skills and closely monitor each child’s development so that we can respond to individual needs in good time. Throughout the year we organise seasonal outings and activities around the themes of summer, autumn, winter and spring. In this way the children learn about the world around them in a playful way and practise social and personal skills. We also prepare the children for primary school so that the transition runs smoothly. Parents experience open and warm cooperation: we share brief daily observations and are happy to discuss how we can bring out the best in every child together.
