Welcome to De Kindertuin in Rijsbergen, a homely daycare centre located at Gommersstraat 102 where children from 3 months to 4 years grow through play. We operate under the Kinderland umbrella, combining more than 25 years of pedagogical expertise with the small-scale, familiar atmosphere that suits our village. Everything we do revolves around calm, rhythm and space. We work with three horizontal groups so that every child receives care that matches his or her developmental stage. For the very youngest there is baby group the Bosmuizen: a quiet, warm place where building trust and individual care are central. Toddlers aged 1.5 to 3 years explore the world from group the Egels; we offer a fixed daily rhythm in which discovery and adventure gradually take up more space. Toddlers from 2.5 years move on to group the Vossen. Here the focus is on learning through play and pre-school education: we prepare the children for primary school in a playful way, including the VVE programme and themed adventures with Puk. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day with loving attention and familiar faces for each group. We take personal communication and involvement for granted. Parents can follow along and share in the experience through our parent app; we share photos and stories so you never miss a moment. We also work closely with an active parents’ committee and keep the lines of communication short. Outside, each group has access to a large, fenced garden with play equipment tailored to the children’s age. We play outside every day, even if it rains a little. We regularly go on trips to the petting zoo or playground and take walks through the village to explore. In this way the children learn to know their environment through play and develop self-confidence. A hot meal is part of our daily routine. Around lunchtime we serve a nutritious, healthy hot meal that we prepare ourselves. For babies and toddlers we naturally provide bottle feeding and adapted snacks. We take food allergies and special wishes into account wherever possible. Flexibility is important to us. We do not have long waiting lists and are happy to think with you about half days or adapted childcare hours. Our doors are open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
