Kinderland de Jonkies

Welcome to Kinderland de Jonkies, a warm and small-scale daycare for children aged 0 to 4, located at Jonkersvaart 49A in Jonkersvaart. We are Irene van Zwol and Miranda Venema, the proud owners of this beautiful place surrounded by nature. At Kinderland de Jonkies, we focus on care, nature, and animals. We provide care for up to 10 to 12 children per day in a vertical group, allowing for close, personal connections between children and staff. Our setting is calm and nurturing, with a large natural garden where children can play freely, pick flowers, watch sheep and cows, and explore together. We regularly go on trips to the forest to collect leaves for crafts or simply to run and play. Our approach is inspired by Emmi Pikler and Thomas Gordon: we believe in natural play, self-discovery, and growing together. Sensory-motor play is a key part of our daily activities. We craft with natural materials, paint with hands and feet, play with shaving foam, and create creative projects together. We also encourage independence: children make their own sandwiches, peel their own bananas, and help each other get dressed. Reading aloud is part of our daily rhythm – we read every day to support language and speech development in a playful way. We are open Monday to Thursday from 07:00 to 17:30 and Friday from 07:00 to 13:00. Our daycare is available 48 weeks per year, excluding official holidays. Everything is included in the hourly rate of €11.02: diapers, food, drinks, and all activities. There are no registration fees and flexible care days are possible, subject to availability. At Kinderland de Jonkies, your child will feel at home. We offer a safe, loving environment where every child is free to develop at their own pace.
