Kindergarden Amsterdam Villa Vondel

Welcome to Kindergarden After-School Care Villa Vondel, located at Waldeck Pyrmontlaan 23 in the heart of Amsterdam-Zuid, just three minutes from the A10 and right next to Vondelpark. Our after-school care is housed in a characteristic building with high ceilings, plenty of light and space, where children aged 4 to 13 can relax, play and discover after school. We pick up children from various primary schools in the area – depending on the distance we walk, use a cargo bike or our after-school care bus. As soon as the children arrive, a healthy snack is waiting for them: fruit, raw vegetables and a drink. On Wednesday and Friday afternoons and during holiday days we also provide an extensive lunch with whole-grain bread, healthy toppings and yoghurt. Every month the children, together with our pedagogical team, decide what they want to do. They created our popular ‘Villa Vondel game’: they set the rules, craft the necessary items and test whether the game works – a wonderful example of teamwork and pride in their own achievements. Outdoors we love to be in Vondelpark or Amstelpark. We observe trees, flowers and birds, play freely or follow sports clinics in hockey, football, athletics and judo. In short series the children get acquainted with different sports and develop a sporty feeling. During holidays we go out with our program booklet: visits to the Van Gogh Museum, NEMO, Artis or the Kabouterbos alternate with sports days and silent discos. In our creative studio wood, stone, clay, paint and ecoline are ready. Children design, build and shape to their heart's content. Our children's kitchen – fully equipped at child height – is the place where they learn to cut, knead and bake. They discover healthy ingredients, practice working independently and follow recipes: skills they can also use outside after-school care. In short, at Kindergarden After-School Care Villa Vondel we offer a safe, challenging place where children can be who they are after school, while playfully learning new things and making friends.
