Welcome to Kindergarden Westzeedijk, located in a characteristic townhouse at Westzeedijk 120, just a stone's throw from vibrant downtown Rotterdam. Our daycare center provides a warm and safe environment for 104 children aged 0 to 4 years. The location combines the charm of a monumental building with modern facilities, where light, space and high-quality finishes are central. At Kindergarden Westzeedijk, we believe children develop best through playful learning in a rich environment. We work with horizontal age groups, where babies, toddlers and preschoolers form separate groups. This allows us to fully tailor to each child's developmental needs. Our baby groups are equipped with hanging cradles, where the youngest can get used to the sounds and smells of the group. This is how we get to know your child step by step. The toddler plus group is located on the top floor, where we specifically respond to the developmental needs of older toddlers. We prepare them playfully for elementary school through our early childhood education program. The daily walk from upstairs to downstairs is not only functional; children learn to walk stairs and get a glimpse into the kitchen and office. We provide structure by singing songs - "shhh, the babies are sleeping here..." Our large, green garden is a true playground and discovery area. We have separate baby gardens, one of which borders directly on the baby group. Toddlers and preschoolers can build blocks, climb over tires or cycle through a course in their own garden. The trees provide plenty of shade, making outdoor play possible all year round. In the garden you can hear the birds singing, a soothing sound while parents enjoy a coffee to go in our coffee corner. We provide fresh, healthy meals daily in our own kitchen, taking into account any allergies or dietary requirements. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide your child with love and attention in his or her development.
