Welcome to Kindergarden Tijs van Zeventerstraat, our daycare centre located in the Kralingen-Oost district of Rotterdam. Everything here revolves around a homely atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, our bright and spacious building feels familiar – even on a cloudy day it is wonderfully light. Everyone knows and supports each other, working together around your child. For the very youngest we have a calm ‘baby island’ where all baby groups are clustered together. Your child is given all the space and time needed for quiet feeding and cuddling moments; every bottle is an opportunity for security and warmth. We arrange settling-in days so the transition is as smooth as possible for you and your child, and we keep communication close and personal. Our toddler groups are also housed together in their own section of the building. The children go outside as much as possible, because at this age healthy activity is essential. Whenever the after-school care rooms are available, we take the toddlers there as well. We often split them into smaller groups so we can offer focused activities. With the older toddlers we already start preschool activities such as circle time – excellent preparation for primary school. Our shady garden is an adventure in itself: hiding in the bamboo grove, go-karting, cycling or playing in the sandbox. There is a special corner for the very youngest, so they too can safely enjoy the fresh air. The location is close to Rotterdam city centre and right next to the A16, with good parking facilities, making drop-off and pick-up moments just that little bit easier.
