Kindergarden Amsterdam Steigereiland

Welcome to Kindergarden Steigereiland, our daycare center on Steigereiland at the beginning of IJburg. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in a water-rich, child-friendly neighborhood with many amenities, close to the A10. Our location features horizontal groups, where children are grouped by age. This creates a calm and safe environment in which every child receives the attention they deserve. At Kindergarden Steigereiland, we follow our own pedagogical policy, focusing on development, safety, and fun. We offer a wide range of activities such as music, arts and crafts, language development, and gardening. Our spacious, green garden invites children to explore and play in nature. We also regularly organize excursions and cook and bake together with the children. For the littlest ones, we have separate sleeping rooms and offer the option to sleep outdoors, enjoying the fresh air. We believe it is important for children to eat healthy and varied meals. Therefore, we provide fresh, warm meals, bread meals, and healthy snacks daily. We take allergies and dietary needs into account, such as vegetarian, lactose-free, or gluten-free options. We also provide all care products, such as diapers and wipes, so parents can delegate worry-free. Our pedagogical staff speak both Dutch and English, so children are exposed to multiple languages from an early age. We use an app that keeps parents informed of their child's development and allows them to view photos. Early childhood education (VVE) is standard with us, preparing children for primary school through play. Half-day care is also possible.
