Kindergarden Amsterdam Bremstraat

Welcome to Kindergarden Amsterdam Bremstraat, our daycare centre in the heart of Amsterdam-Noord. Since opening in 2021 we have been offering 94 children aged 0–4 a warm second home in a charming former post office at Bremstraat 1. We believe that everything surrounding a child has an impact, so every room, every piece of furniture and every activity has been carefully designed to support young children’s development. Our horizontal groups place children with peers of the same age. Babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are grouped separately, allowing us to tailor guidance to each developmental stage. The baby group focuses on rest, secure attachment and gentle sensory stimulation. Toddlers have plenty of space to roll, crawl and take their first steps. Our pre-school group challenges children with play and learning corners that stimulate language, numeracy and motor skills in a playful way. We follow the Early Childhood Education programmes ‘Startblokken’ and ‘Uk & Puk’, laying the foundations for a flying start at primary school while children are simply having fun. A real eye-catcher is our unique rooftop garden: a green oasis high above the city. The garden is safely fenced and includes a separate baby garden where the youngest can explore in peace. Older children garden, hunt for insects or play hide-and-seek among the plants. Indoors you will find a separate sleeping room with cots and beds, an atelier for arts and crafts, singing and dancing, and a large living-room area for shared moments such as reading aloud and making music. All spaces are furnished with natural materials and warm colours so children feel at home straight away. Our qualified pedagogical staff provide personal attention every day. We supply nappies, formula, warm meals, fresh fruit and healthy snacks. Does your child have an allergy or special dietary need? We are happy to accommodate.
