Kinderdagverblijf Villa Eigen-Wijs

Kinderdagverblijf Villa Eigen-Wijs is a homely branch of Waardse Kids childcare, located at Marconiplein 1 in the northern part of Schoonhoven. We provide day-care for children from six weeks old up to primary-school age. Our bright, spacious building houses two baby groups (6 weeks – 2 years) and two toddler groups (2 – 4 years). Each group has its own safe play and sleep area so that the youngest can nap peacefully while the toddlers explore to their hearts’ content. Our pedagogical staff follow the child’s individual rhythm. For babies this means feeding and sleeping schedules are aligned with what parents do at home; as a child approaches toddler age we gradually shift to the fixed group rhythm. This keeps the transition between home and day-care as smooth as possible. Outdoor play is important to us. Whenever the weather allows, we take the children to our pleasant yard, where they can run, cycle and build sandcastles under supervision. The outdoor space is securely fenced and equipped with challenging play and climbing materials suited to every developmental stage. Parents stay in touch through our handy parent app. We share personal photos and short messages so you can enjoy your child’s experiences with us. The app also lets you view and adjust schedules easily. KDV Villa Eigen-Wijs offers pre-school education (VVE). Through play we stimulate language, numeracy and social skills, giving your child the confidence to start primary school. We care for up to 56 children per day and have been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 June 1999 under number 727347147.
