’t Olefantje on Weerdsingel is a warm and homely daycare centre in the heart of Utrecht. In a beautiful, cosy canal-side building we lovingly care for up to 41 children aged 0–4 with plenty of personal attention. Our large, atmospheric back garden, filled with greenery, gives children space to cycle, run and play in the sandpit. The pear and apple trees not only provide shade but also supply the fruit we turn into homemade applesauce each summer. We believe every child is unique, so our care is tailored to each individual. Our goal is for every child to feel comfortable and develop at their own pace. Children are free to be themselves, play and grow in a familiar environment. Close cooperation with parents is equally important to us. Our close-knit team of familiar “juffies” – qualified pedagogical staff, many of whom have worked here for years – welcomes your child each day with a warm, personal approach. You can leave knowing your child is in safe, caring hands. Each year we celebrate our fun onesie week, a festive tradition where children and staff spend the week in pyjamas. Interested in a place?
