Kinderdagverblijf 't Eigenwijsje

Kinderdagverblijf ’t Eigenwijsje is an independent, small-scale daycare centre located at Varsseveldseweg 64 in Lichtenvoorde. We provide care for up to 40 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our facility has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) since 18 March 2013, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance. Personal attention and continuity of care are at the heart of our approach. Our close-knit team consists of 14 qualified childcare professionals, all holding MBO-3/SPW3-4 diplomas, certified in paediatric first aid and emergency response, and holding a Certificate of Good Conduct. Each group has its own regular staff, so you and your child see a familiar face every day. We use horizontal grouping with three age-based groups: baby group De Weide (0–15 months), toddler group De Manege (15 months to 2/2.5 years) and pre-school group De Hooizolder (2–4 years). Every group has specially designed rooms tailored to the children’s developmental stage. Babies enjoy quiet sleeping rooms and are cared for according to their individual routines, while the pre-school group follows a structured daily programme with themed activities that match their curiosity and development. Our pedagogical vision focuses on five key development areas: language, numeracy, social-emotional skills, gross and fine motor skills. We believe every child should feel safe, secure and loved so they can develop at their own pace in a relaxed environment. Outdoors, we offer a spacious, secure playground where children can move and explore. We value strong communication with parents. Regular consultations take place, we hold an annual ten-minute development meeting for each child, and parent evenings are organised in consultation with the parent committee.
