Welcome to Small Ones Daycare located at Nickeriestraat 54 in Amsterdam West. We are a small-scale daycare centre where personal attention and a homely atmosphere are paramount. Our location provides professional care for up to 29 children aged 0 to 4 years. Thanks to our limited group size, we can give every toddler and baby the individual care and attention they deserve. Our pedagogical approach is based on the four core goals of childcare: emotional security, personal competence, social competence and the transfer of norms and values. We work according to the Gordon Method, in which communication is highly valued. Not only between our pedagogical staff members, but especially with the children. We teach them in a positive way to express their feelings and needs. The location is within walking distance of Erasmuspark. We regularly make trips there so that the children can enjoy nature and run around to their heart's content. Opposite our daycare is a playground that we also use. Outdoor play is very important to us; it stimulates motor development and offers endless discoveries. Our groups are vertically arranged, which means that children of different ages play and learn together. This promotes social development and the younger children learn from the older ones. We use a homely interior, where children quickly feel at home. There are quiet corners for sleeping, but also plenty of space to play and explore. Small Ones Daycare is open 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year. We therefore do not close during school holidays, which is ideal for working parents. We believe it is important that parents and children feel welcome. That is why our team is always ready for a personal conversation and a tour.
