About this care
AI
Located on busy Hoofdweg 409-H, right where Amsterdam’s Bos en Lommer meets De Baarsjes, you will find our warm and welcoming home. Kinderdagverblijf Small Ones is housed in a spacious, light-filled building with large windows and a cosy atmosphere. We deliberately furnish the rooms with plenty of wooden toys to create a sustainable, safe and stimulating environment where children immediately feel at ease.
We provide professional day-care for children aged 0 to 4 within one vertical group. Up to 13 children share the day together, guided by four consistent pedagogical professionals. Because the same familiar faces stay with your child for up to four years, strong bonds of trust develop. This continuity makes communication effortless and personal; we truly get to know every child and can respond precisely to individual needs and talents.
The layout is carefully designed: babies have a quiet corner with cribs and soft floors for crawling, while toddlers enjoy dedicated play areas for building, painting or imaginative role-play. Erasmus Park is only a short walk away and we visit regularly, just like the square opposite our door, offering plenty of outdoor play and nature exploration.
Our pedagogical policy is built on four core goals: security, development, social competence and independence. We apply the Gordon Method to foster open communication—between children, and between child, parent and staff. In this way children not only develop skills, but also grow in confidence and mutual respect.Read more
