Kinderdagverblijf Reuzefijn

Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Reuzefijn, located in the characteristic former LTS building in the heart of Kerkrade at Smedenstraat 1A. As part of Flow Kinderopvang, we provide a safe, homely and stimulating environment for up to 44 children aged 0 to 4 years, where each child can grow and develop at their own pace. At Reuzefijn we work with three horizontal age groups, each fully tailored to your child's developmental stage. Our baby group is a calm, cosy space where the youngest receive the security and attention they need. Our specialised baby specialists follow your baby's natural rhythm and provide customised care. Once your child can walk, usually around 1.5 years, they move on to our toddler group. Here children can explore diverse play corners with challenging materials that invite discovery and play. For our preschool group, aged 3 to 4 years, we optimally prepare your child for primary school. We offer VVE (Pre- and Early School Education) and work on independence, closely collaborating with primary schools De Diabolo and St. Ursula for a smooth transition. Structure and recognisability are important to us. Therefore we work with a fixed daily schedule with set eating, care and play moments, taking into account each child's individual sleep rhythm. Healthy nutrition and sufficient exercise are central. Your child receives daily healthy snacks such as fresh fruit and seasonal vegetables, and drinks water or tea. Sandwiches are topped with lean fillings such as chicken fillet, hummus or vegetarian spread. We pay attention to allergies and diets. Outdoor play is a fixed part of the day. Our spacious, green and shaded outdoor playground offers plenty of opportunities to run, cycle, climb and discover. We organise simple movement games both indoors and outdoors. Music, language and reading are also covered. With each new theme you receive information about vocabulary, rhymes and songs, so you can connect at home with our language stimulation. We find good contact with parents essential. During fixed drop-off and pick-up times there is room for handover and questions. In the morning you can drop off until 09:00 and in the afternoon between 13:00 and 13:30. Pick-up times are between 12:30 and 13:30 and from 16:00 onwards. We advise parents to pick up children as late as possible, so they can optimally participate in our daily programme.
