Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Oase, a small-scale and homely daycare centre in the heart of Amsterdam-Oost. We provide a safe and familiar place for children aged 0 to 7, where personal attention, quality and continuity are paramount. Our location at Minahassastraat 37 is quietly situated and ideal for parents looking for committed childcare with a warm atmosphere. We follow the proven Pyramid methodology. Our pedagogical staff have completed a two-year training course to apply this effective learning method. By smartly combining free play and structured activities, we stimulate each child’s development individually. The approach offers sufficient challenge, even for gifted children, and optimally prepares them for primary school. At Oase we run two horizontal groups: a baby group up to about 24 months and a toddler group from around 40 months to school age. The baby group has a maximum of 9 children, the toddler group 12 to 14 children. Each group is guided by two regular carers. New children and children who need extra rest initially sleep separately from the group so they can settle in quietly and process stimuli. Structure and predictability form the basis of our daily programme, yet there is room for flexible adjustment to the group’s dynamics. Healthy nutrition is a given: children receive balanced meals and snacks tailored to their needs and age. Bottle-feeding and toilet training are part of our standard care. We are a recognised early childhood education provider and work with nearby primary schools. Flexible childcare options allow parents to choose full or half days.
