Welcome to Kyra at the Kemphaan! We are a small-scale daycare located on the beautiful city farm De Kemphaan in Almere. Our core values are small-scale, organic, loving, anthroposophical, homely, and building close bonds. We provide care for up to 10 children per day, divided across two group spaces. These small groups allow our highly experienced pedagogical professionals to build close, affectionate relationships with each child. Our location features a lovely enclosed garden with a sandbox and tree trunks for climbing and clambering. Every day we take the children outside to the forest or park. The little ones are snugly wrapped in sheepskin in the stroller, while toddlers and preschoolers are dressed appropriately for the weather. We even let children jump in puddles with boots on after it rains. Of course, there are sometimes weather conditions that keep us indoors. At Kyra, all food and drinks are of at least organic quality and vegetarian. We believe this is important not only for the children and ourselves but also for the world around us. All children receive a midday meal soup made from organic vegetables and grains. This way we provide children with tasty and healthy food while relieving parents. We work according to anthroposophical principles, where respect for each child's own rhythm and autonomy is central. Our pedagogical approach focuses on creating a safe and warm place where children can develop optimally. They truly get to know each other and feel completely at home and safe. There is room for play and rest, for fun, jokes and cuddles, for small and big sorrows... everything is welcome!
