Kinderdagverblijf Kindcentrum De Magische Boom

Kindcentrum De Magische Boom is located inside Vrije School Ridderspoor at Essenburg 24-26 in Alphen aan den Rijn. We provide daycare, toddler care and parenting support for children from 12 weeks to 4 years in a loving, homely environment. Our approach is inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s anthroposophical vision and Emmi Pikler’s developmental theory. We believe every child is unique and develops at his or her own pace from an inner wisdom. Our role is to guide children so they can continue their path from the heart, firmly rooted and keeping their own magic alive. We work with small, horizontal age groups: 0-2 years and 2-4 years. Babies find peace and security in a home-like setting, while toddlers are playfully prepared for primary school through early childhood education (VVE). Rhythm and predictability are central. Each day we sing songs, use verses and follow the natural yearly cycle with celebrations such as St Martin’s Day and the harvest festival. The interior is warm and natural: wooden toys, soft colours and plenty of room for imagination. Outdoors children can romp on the grass hill, play in the large sandpit, water track or discovery garden. We encourage free play, creative expression and language development, always attuned to the child’s developmental stage. Parents experience an open, informal atmosphere with short lines of communication. We share daily observations and are happy to discuss parenting questions. Together we form a safe triangle: child – parents – Kindcentrum. This allows every child to develop optimally and parents to leave their child with peace of mind.
